# Google Analytics.

## What is Google Analytics

Analytics shows you data from all channels that are directing traffic to your website, including:

* Organic Search (SEO)
* Paid Search (PPC)
* Social Media
* Referrals (Backlinks)
* Direct Traffic
* Google Analytics is one of the top, most powerful tools out there for monitoring and analysing traffic on your website. It gives you an enormous amount of information about who is visiting your site, what they are looking for, and how they are getting to your site. Any business that wants to expand and grow their business on the internet should definitely be using Google Analytics.

To create an account, click More options > Create account.

To sign in to your account, enter the email address and password associated with the account.

[Set up a property in your Analytics account](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1042508). A property represents your website or app, and is the collection point in Analytics for the data from your site or app.

[Set up a reporting view in your property](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1009714). Views let you create filtered perspectives of your data; for example, all data except from your company’s internal IP addresses, or all data associated with a specific sales region.
